Just a few hints and tips I have found useful since I became interested in miniatures. Most of these came from various mailing lists from about 3 to 4 years ago. If one of them happens to belong to you, let me know and I'll give you full credit .
I will be adding to this page regularly, so keep checking back for new hints.

I received this award from Noni, the owner of the Green Sock on Left Foot on Tuesday Yahoogroup. It was for my old site, but hope she doesn't mind me putting it here. The link to our website is http://www.gsolfot.com/
When finishing wood, for the final polishing, use a piece of brown paper bag, not sand paper or steel wool. You will get a much smoother finish. I got this tip from my son-in-law who paints cars for a living LOL.

Put a piece of masking tape on a file card so the sticky side is up and place your flower petals along the edge so you can brush them with powdered pastels to tint them.

Cut up tiny silk flowers to make fairy dresses for tiny, tiny dolls.

To simulate broken dishes on a floor, use washed broken pieces of eggshell.

Use vaseline to glue baked polymer clay to unbaked clay. Glue before you bake.

Keep an upside down Styrofoam tray next to you when working with glue. If your tweezers or toothpick get gummed up from glue, poke it into the tray and pull it out nice and clean.
